The other day CNN reporter Pedro Pinto, along with Vice Prime Minister - Minister of Infrastructure Borys Kolesnikov, made a tour of Ukrainian host city of Euro 2012.
During the inspection the journalist met with the state of Ukraine's preparations for Euro 2012.


 According to Boris Kolesnikov, in the past year and a half preparing for the tournament went without the slightest delay. According with resource euro2012.ukrinform.ua, Ukraine and Poland are prepared for Euro over 90 %.
The level of Poland’s preparedness for Euro-2012 is the same as Ukraine’s one and is over 90 per cent, told PL.2012 Operations Director Wojciech Folejewski. 

After June 2012 when UEFA Secretary General Gianni Infantino assessed Ukraine’s and Poland’s preparedness level as 80 per cent, a lot of job was done. Mr Folejewski said: "Host countries have already completed construction works and have put aside their spades. The tasks presently facing us, just like those facing the Ukrainians are the ultimate final tests of preparedness of objects, training of volunteers, informational and promotional projects and services for fans.”

Minister of Emergency Situations of Ukraine Viktor Baloga convinced that the exclusion zone of Chernobyl nuclear power plant should be as much as possible open and accessible to the public all comers. The zone of Chernobyl NPP starting from December 2, 2011 has once again become accessible to everyone visiting for informational purposes according to new rules for staying in it. But anyway, nowadays they are not talking on regular tourist travels.

Remind, that the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Ukraine in February 2011 approved the procedure for visiting by the citizens of Ukraine, foreign delegations and foreigners the Exclusion Zone and the mandatory evacuation zone through tour operators. But, at the suit of the Prosecutor General, the Kyiv District Administrative Court declared the order as illegal.

Half-naked activists of FEMEN held in Moscow campaign "God, kick away the king!" to support the thousands'  protests of Russians against Putin and Medvedev.

As you know, tens of thousands of people in Moscow and thousands more in a lot of cities across all Russia demand an end to Vladimir Putin's rule and a rerun of a parliamentary election on Saturday in the biggest opposition protests since he rose to power 12 years ago. The conference "Inside Ukraine 2011: A success story in the making?" occured on December 6th 2011, in The Dorchester, London in partnership with the UK edition The Economist.

Inside Ukraine 2011 — an event, organised for foreign investors and influential people at the Dorchester. There participated the Vice-prime Minister of Ukraine, an ex-Canadian Prime Minister and over 150 senior business executives,  influential thinkers and major media journalists in London on Tuesday December 6th 2011.

National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) has decided to send cash hryvnia to the European countries on the eve of the finals of Euro 2012.

This was announced by National Bank head Sergei Arbuzov during a meeting with the head of the Swiss National Bank Philipp Hildebrand.

Highspeed trains Hyundai Rotem will join the transport system of Ukraine starting from May 15, 2012. This trains will operate between the cities of EURO 2012 - it was announced on the conference "Ukraine - the inside story: the path to success" by Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine Borys Kolesnikov.

These trains will cover the distance 740 km between Kiev and Donetsk in five and a half hours! From Kiev to Lviv they it will take 4:30, and to Kharkiv - 3:30. "Tickets for trains can be bought online, including from England as early as May 1", - said Boris Kolesnikov.

Today Ukraine celebrates the Day of the Armed Forces of Ukraine!
Day of the Armed Forces of Ukraine was established by resolution of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine in 1993. This holiday is celebrated annually on December 6 - the day of adoption in 1991, the Law of Ukraine "About the Armed Forces of Ukraine."

After-draw party occured on December 2, 2011 in the courtyard of the NSC Olympic and was dedicated to the Euro Finals sortition.

Within the evening was a demonstration by Ukrainian designer Olga Alenovoy, during which as a models on the catwalk came the wifes of Ukrainian football players. Among them - the wife of Alexander Rybka and Evgenia Selezneva of Shakhtar Donetsk, Artem Kravets and Andriy Yarmolenko of Dynamo, Vitaly Mandzyuka of the Dnieper, and others.

The evening also included a performance team ReD Foxes, guests were entertained by sets from DJ Key and Play Models.
