Kiev Planetarium (Ukrainian: Київський планетарій) is one of the largest planetaria in the CIS (former Soviet states) and in the Europe. The planetarium has a dome of 23 meters in diameter, and seats for 320 people. It was opened on January 1, 1952 by the initiative of the scientist-astronomer Serhiy Vsekhsviatskiy (1905–1984) and on January 1, 2012 it will be 60 years from the date of it's opening.
In the central part of Kiev, close to Sophia Square, on the corner of Vladimirska str. it were installed first road signs for Euro 2012. They should help visitors to navigate in the capital of Ukraine.
"These pointers are pilot. They were installed in advance so that in case of comments or suggestions on their form, design and related services to be refined and corrected the deficiencies." - said the Head of Public Utilities, Dmitry Nowicki.
At the beginning of the next year it is planned to install near 180 of such signs.
